Football body could approve goal-line technology today

Goal-line technology is expected to be given the final go-ahead at a meeting of football’s rulemakers scheduled for Thursday. The International FA Board (IFAB) is reportedly set to approve both the Hawk-Eye system, which uses cameras, and the GoalRef system, which uses a magnetic field and chip inside the ball.
