Bandage changes color to indicate wounds healing status

Australian researchers have developed a smart bandage they hope will remedy this. It uses a derivative of cholesterol that changes from red through green to blue as it heats up, showing changes of less than 0.5 of a degree. The developers believe the bandage will improve the monitoring and treatment of those who suffer from chronic wounds, such as the elderly, obese or those who have diabetes. Discovery.com, Smh.com.au
