Mummifying your pet the latest trend?
A company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers clients the chance to mummify their deceased pets. The 90-day process, in contrary to ancient Egyptian mummification methods, hydrates the animals “so they look like the day they died” years later. A powerful, highly permeable chemical is placed in a fluid, in which the animals are submerged. Afterwards, oils are applied to the pet’s body before cotton gauze is wrapped around it. The costly process - ￡3,600 for cats - is also available for humans.
